I was so lucky to be part of this editorial shoot, planned and styled by Senel at Bride & Belle Weddings, and featured on The English Wedding Blog.
The inspiration and setting for this tale of romance was Chiswick House, an 18th century villa and iconic London venue, which made the perfect backdrop for this classically romantic editorial. Elements of the fascinating history of the house were incorporated into the shoot to help tell the story.
The fictional love story is set in the 18th Century where Elisabeth, an English lady living in Chiswick House, is waiting for the arrival of her suitor, Andreas from Rome. Meeting each other during her grand tour of Europe, they fell in love and after Elisabeth’s return to London, wrote to each other frequently. Finally, the day arrived where they could meet again and start their lives together.
The graceful and feminine images by photographer Eva Tarnok capture and celebrate the history of the building and complementing styling details. A colour palette of soft pinks, gold and neutral tones reflect the romantic and classical feel of this shoot.
With exquisitely detailed dresses from Morgan Davies Bridal two different looks were created with feminine details, tulle skirts and delicately hand embroidered pearl detailing. Elegantly simple shoes from Harriet Wilde complemented the looks, and an English Rose look for hair and make up by Alison Jenner helped tell the story.
Gorgeously detailed stationery created by Dimitria Jordan used hand crafted paper and gold foiling. The multi-tiered cake was inspired by the architecture of Chiswick House and was created by Lauren at The Honey Bee Wedding Cake Company.
The opulent florals were designed by Mary J Vaughn and featured Lilac, Hydrangea, Jasmine and Roses in soft pastel tones with trailing foliage.
For the table, scalloped edged plates were perfectly complimented with stunning cut glass candelabras, gold detailed glassware and elegant mother of pearl cutlery, all courtesy of The Food Show.
