Lauren & Nathan fell in love with Wotton House, a beautiful 17th century country house in Dorking, they knew it was where they wanted to say I do and celebrate their wedding with their loved ones.
Their intimate wedding was meticulously planned by Lauren, and they wanted someone to manage the day for them so they could relax and enjoy the experience, without worrying about the logistics, the details and how the day would run.
The celebrations began with a civil ceremony in the beautiful Old Library, a stunning space with incredible architectural detail that made the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. After the ceremony, guests moved to the Terrace for a drinks reception where the conversation and canapes flowed, while taking in the gorgeous surroundings of the Grade II listed Italian gardens.
While guests were enjoying the drinks reception, the Old Library was transformed into a dinner space that was elegant and full of personal touches. As an ex-English teacher, Lauren’s love of books was highlighted throughout the décor and styling – the table names were made of wood and were named after favourite authors; wooden place cards sat at each guest table setting, along with table confetti made out of old book pages, and each guest received a seed pencil as a favour.
After a delicious 3 course meal and speeches, Lauren and Nathan cut their two-tier cake, which featured a Lego cake topper that included their adorable cat. Guests then moved into the Evelyn Suite for dancing into the night with XO Band and an evening cheeseboard.
The most important element of the wedding for Lauren & Nathan was that everyone relaxed and enjoyed themselves, and that all the details they had curated for their wedding were part of their day.
It was clear that Lauren and Nathan had really thought about all the little details they wanted to include, and it was a wedding filled with an abundance of joy, love and personal touches.
