Engaged during the Covid pandemic, Hannah & Hamish had their wedding planning in hand, but with a logistically complex event, they needed support to bring all the elements of their wedding together. They chose the home of family friends as the setting for their wedding ceremony and drinks reception, and Hannah’s family home for the marquee reception.
Their wedding ceremony was held in a barn style structure, set in beautiful grounds in Guildford. The styling for the ceremony space was kept simple, with a metal arch decorated with babies breath as the backdrop for the ceremony led by a family friend. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the landscaped gardens, which provided an incredible backdrop for the photos.
The wedding breakfast and marquee reception followed, set in the incredible gardens of Hannah’s family home. A mix of round and long tables were set in the marquee, and dressed with bud vases and greenery, as well as delicately detailed candlesticks from the Hannah’s family’s antique shop. Clouds of babies breath were suspended from the roof of the marquee, continuing the theme from the ceremony.
Once guests arrived at the house, they were greeted with champagne and took their seats for a meal of hog roast, salads and a trio of desserts. Once the meal was over, and the formalities of speeches and cake cutting were complete, everyone danced the night away to a digital nostalgia Jukebox that provided the music for the evening.
Hannah’s vision for the wedding was elegant and fun with lots of details. With a neutral colour palette comprising sage green, cream, blush pinks and accents of gold, the overall look and feel was elegant, sophisticated and romantic.
