From the moment Milina & Joel got in touch – over a year before their wedding, we knew their celebration would be something truly special. Originally from the UK but now calling Denver, Colorado home, they dreamed of bringing loved ones together in London for a wedding that felt both meaningful and magical.
They found their perfect backdrop in the magnificent Morden Hall, an 18th-century country house nestled within National Trust parkland. With its graceful architecture, soft natural light, and exclusive-use space, Morden Hall offered exactly what Milina & Joel envisioned: a serene, elegant setting to say “I do” surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The Morning of the Wedding
The day began with bridal prep for Milina and her bridesmaids, filling the rooms with laughter and anticipation. Later, Joel and his groomsmen arrived to finish getting ready and capture portraits before the ceremony.
Milina’s bridal style struck that rare balance of modern and timeless – sophisticated, understated, and undeniably striking. Her statement hand-embroidered veil was a true work of art, weaving colour and texture into her look in the most enchanting way.
Romantic Florals & Design Details
Inspired by this incredible veil, Yoko Blooms designed florals in a palette of blush pink, white, and green, with soft touches of blue appearing in the wedding breakfast arrangements. The result was romantic, fresh, and beautifully cohesive – perfect for a luxury London wedding.
A Ceremony with Heart
The ceremony was originally planned for Morden Hall’s North Lawn, but Mother Nature had other ideas. After a morning of torrential rain, we relocated to the Willow space – maintaining every design detail to ensure the atmosphere felt just as intended. As if on cue, the clouds parted once the ceremony ended, giving guests the chance to enjoy sunshine, drinks, and canapés on the lawn.
Personal Touches & Elevated Dining
For the wedding breakfast, the couple chose long tables with shared platters and family-style service – a warm, interactive dining experience that encouraged conversation while still feeling elegant and elevated.
As longtime cat fosterers, Milina & Joel named each table after a cat they had cared for – a heartfelt detail that delighted guests as they discovered the names on the seating plan.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple served signature cocktails: Aperol Spritz and Spicy Margaritas – a playful twist that guests absolutely loved.
A Chic Outfit Change & Evening Celebration
As evening fell, Milina made a chic outfit change – swapping her sleek bun for a high ponytail and trading her heels for sparkling cowgirl boots. With a white cowgirl hat completing the look, she was ready for the party. Friends and family joined the fun with their own cowboy hats, creating a vibrant blend of their life in the U.S. and their celebration in the UK.
From heartfelt moments to thoughtful personal touches, Milina & Joel’s wedding was a joyful fusion of worlds, styles, and stories – a day filled with beauty, emotion, and unforgettable memories.
